The accommodation is the lower of two apartments at the property.The upper apartment is owned by the owners and is not rented and is unlikely to be occupied during your stay. The property is built into the hillside and therefore access to all parts of the house is via steps which are not suitable for the infirm or very small children. Hand-rails and railings are in place to ensure comfort and safety. We have had children of all ages stay at the apartment. If you have small children it is advisable you speak to us before booking your holiday so we explain the property to you and answer any questions you have to ensure it is the right property for you to enjoy your holiday. Anyone with impaired mobility would have difficulty using the steps.
The construction of the property is so designed as to afford unspoilt views from each of the three terraces available to the apartment. There is nothing to spoil the view, you are not overlooked and neither do you overlook anyone else.
The apartment has been tastefully furnished and beautifully coordinated throughout, with additional finishing touches and attention to detail to ensure it is not just a holiday apartment, but we hope, a “home from home”.
The apartment is comprised of the following;
Kitchen – independent, fully fitted with gas hob, microwave, dish washer, fridge/freezer, electric heater and, of course, a view! Pans, crockery, cutlery, tea towels etc all provided.
Lounge – step down from the kitchen into the lounge. This is fitted with a double sofa bed, two single chairs, coffee table and side tables, brand new flat screen TV and DVD player and panoramic views. An electric heater, central light with fan and double sliding doors onto terrace number one. Dedicated Wi Fi is available throughout the apartment.
Dining area – Step up from the open-plan lounge into the dining area with its large oak table and seating for eight. There is direct access via a hatch from the kitchen with an electric heater & sideboard.
Bedroom 1 – Step down into the main double bedroom with built-in double wardrobe (hangers provided), side tables with lights and further chest of drawers. There is a large wall mounted mirror and an electric heater. You can even enjoy the panoramic view as you sit in bed and have your morning tea or coffee! A large standing fan is provided for your comfort.
En-suite bathroom – This is a large tiled bathroom with full size bath fitted with an integral shower, shower shield, toilet, wash basin, electric heater and further storage cabinet.
Bedroom 2 – Complete with double bed, with full size double wardrobe (hangers provided); side tables with lights, wall mirror and electric heater. A single door leads to terrace number two, with views over the naturally beautiful mountain garden and mountain (table and chairs provided). A large standing fan is provided for your comfort.
Bathroom 2 – Comprising modern toilet, wash basin and independent shower unit – tiled throughout.
Cave room – This is entered from the hallway via a door and allows you additional storage space. A further fridge has been put in this narrow room for cold storage of drinks, etc., if required.
Lower level – The house contains a third level which consists of a large terrace overlooking the valley with an attractive cactus garden. A large, single room is accessed from the terrace where we have, installed a washing machine, two dryers and sink unit for your use. There is also plenty of storage space here for suitcases, etc. This facility will be used by our gardener/ maintenance man when he maintains the grounds.
Terrace furniture is stored here and includes wooden dining table and chairs, sun recliners, two umbrellas and small table & chairs.
The apartment is equipped to a very high standard with everything to make your holiday experience special a “home away from home”
All bed linen, personal hand and bath towels, tea towels and beach towels are included. The apartment has a very well equipped kitchen including a Nespresso machine with a selection of complimentary coffee, a store cupboard of items to use during your stay, cool boxes and a selection of plastic boxes for taking on picnics, sun umbrellas and chairs for the pool or beach. Table tennis and tennis rackets are available for use in the Domain pool and leisure area which has its own tennis court and table tennis table. We have pool floats for children and buckets and spades and other fun things for the beach.
The apartment has its own dedicated Wi Fi for use of your mobile phones and personal devices. There is a large TV screen with a UK Roku device which allows streaming various channels including viewing Netflix. Satelite TV allows for various free channels including French TV. There is a wide selection of CDs, DVDs and books for your enjoyment. We also have playing cards and a number of board games including Monopoly and Scrabble.
There are relaxing La Fuma deckchairs for use on any of the three beautifully landscaped terraces and two sets of outdoor dining tables and chairs for the balcony and garden terrace.
There is a wide selection of complimentary toiletries, perfumes, aftershaves, and personal care items which you are welcome to use during your stay.
Arrived and forgotten to bring your shampoo? In our “bits and pieces box” you will find what you have forgotten to get you through until you can get to the shops. No need to buy nail polish remover to use once. Just use what’s in the box! A selection of perfumes and aftershaves are also available for your use during your stay.
Multilingual Representatives
We have a team of local people who live in the village of Laroque who look after the property all year round doing cleaning, maintenance, gardens and looking after the grounds. Our team speak English, French and Spanish. Whatever your nationality you will know there is someone to help you who lives locally and to assist you should you require assistance during your stay. The whole property, apartment and garden terraces are maintained to a very high standard.
